Hello, Hello! Gosh it feels like forever since I have blogged. Sorry about that. Things got busy, and there have been creative ideas I have been kicking around. Not only that but Summer is my busiest season due to trips and such. So I have been working on getting ahead of my reading challenge before the three big trips coming up.
With all that being said here is a picture from boating a few weeks ago:
Anyway, so now that we have caught up on why I have been away from blogging, let’s talk about books!
I don’t have pictures for all of these books and I will be giving brief reviews.
(1) Summer Days and Summer Nights: Twelve Love Stories by Stephanie Perkins
I gave this read a 3 star rating. There were some stories I enjoyed and others that were a flop for me. It has a wide variety so there is something for everyone. Which is nice.
(2) Worlds Of Ink And Shadow by Lena Coakley
This was another 3 Star for me.
I actually really liked the story. I loved reading of the fictional worlds and world building was good. My biggest issue ( I guess that’s the best way to put this) was that I felt like these geniuses were so obsessed and almost crazy. I don’t think that was the intention but it took their world and made it dark. In most cases I enjoy that, but this was that one time I wish it was just them escaping to the worlds. As writers we have our imaginary worlds, and I did love getting to be apart of their’s.
(3) A Darker Shade Of Magic by V.E. Schwab
FINALLY!! I had heard some great things about this book, and shout out to my local library for helping me locate a copy!
This I gave 5 stars, it was so good! I took my time reading it and I loved every second! I am going to buy my own copy of this book. ASAP.
So that was June’s reading, what books did you love for June? Let me know!
