May Wrap Up

I had a good reading month! Thanks to having the month of May just wide open! I was able to read 9 books this month. Woot! So here is what I read in the order I read them and my Goodreads rating.

|May Wrap Up|

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

Technically speaking, I started Red Queen two days before May started. But I am counting it as a May read.

I enjoyed it, I gave the book 4 Stars on Goodreads.

Cruel Crown by Victoria Aveyard

I gave this book 3 stars on Goodreads.

Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver

This was another 3 star read for me. It was a little slow for my taste.

The Queen Of The Tearling by Erika Johansen

I gave this book 4 stars, mainly because I loved reading a story about a female ruler who cared for her people. There times it was slow but I overall enjoyed reading this one.

The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins

I gave this book 3 stars out of 5 on Goodreads. I didn’t have that wow factor that everyone else had. I thought the writing was good and I think that if it is in your TBR that you should give this book a chance.

Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard

This was another 4 star rating on Goodreads. I loved the conflict and the overall story. Marr did annoy me a little but I enjoyed this book.

A Court Of Thorns And Roses by Sarah J. Maas

I loved this book. I loved the twist on one of my favorite stories. I gave this book 5 stars on Goodreads.

Lady Susan by Jane Austen

This was The Quirky Readers Book Club read for the month of May. It was different from Jane’s other stories which I liked, and it was funny. In the end I wasn’t all that impressed with it and I gave this one 3 star rating on Goodreads.

A Court Of Mist And Fury by Sarah J. Maas

If you thought I loved ACOTAR then I am IN LOVE with ACOMAF. This was so good. Some book 2’s in series don’t always meet expectations. I loved book 2 more then book 1. I gave this book 5 stars on Goodreads but I would put this book right up there with my love for Six Of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. I have found that I really like Sarah J. Maas writes. And will be reading the Throne Of Glass series as soon as I am able to. Just need to put a dent in the TBR pile first. 😉

What did you all read this month? Let me know in the comment section!

Till next time
