Well it is the weekend! I finally got around to making a Facebook page for my blog.
Anyway… Now that I have gotten the word out officially, I am going to do another tag. I had a lot of fun doing the Taylor Swift book tag, that I figured why not do another today. I have no life updates and no books to review at the moment. So why not?
I love book tags. Over the course of the two years I have been blogging, it was a lot of trail and error to figure out what I wanted this blog to be. I like doing life posts every now and again, but reading is something that I am passionate about. I love opening a new book, I love writing. I feel like I have found that niche I was looking for. I am a living person and while a life post is great ever now and then, I want to encourage people to read as well.
Now that I got sappy; I am going to do the Inside/Out book tag. I found it while looking up a new tag and figured why not? It is a great way to get to know me as a reader.
I: Inside flap/back of book summaries: Too much info or not enough?
Well this really depends on the book. I sometimes think there tends to be alittle to much info. Especially when there is a romance involved. They seem to put that info in the summaries.
N: New book: What form do you want it in? (Be honest!) audiobook, ebook, paperback or hardcover?
If I need the book that second I will buy it on ebook. I do perfect the feeling of the actual book in my hand.. So I am going to say paperback.
S: Scribble while you read: Do you like to write in your books or keep them clean?
Clean. I have journals were I take notes if there is a note that I want to take. I get easily distracted and scribbling in my books makes it hard for me to concentrate on what I am reading.
I: In your best voice, read us your favorite first sentence from a book.
Gee, this is hard because I can of other lines.. But I think I am going to go with the first sentence from Harry Potter And The Sorcerers Stone by J.K. Rowling
* clears voice*
” Mr. and Mrs. Dursley, of number four, Privet Drive, were proud to say that they were perfectly normal, thank you very much.”
I thought it was funny.
D: Does it matter to you whether the author is male of female when you are deciding on a book? What if your unsure of the author’s gender?
I do have more female authors then male authors, but I really don’t care what your gender is. If the story sounds good I will read it.
E: Ever read ahead? Or have you ever read the last page way before you got there?
Oh… Confession time….. I have. If a book ends up boring, I have read the ending. Then there have been situations where I really wanted to know what happened. Thankfully, I am really good about not skipping ahead. Still though.. I have skipped ahead..
O: Organized bookshelves or outrageous bookshelves?
I like my bookshelves organized by height. I like knowing where each book is and where I will find it. For myself, outrageous bookshelves don’t work for me.
U: Under oath: have you ever bought a book based on the cover alone?
Let’s be honest.. I definitely have. I like pretty books! Especially some of the hardcovers…. So pretty!
T:Take it outside to read or stay in?
This really depends. If it is really nice outside I will read outside. I have even read in the car. So it really depends. I like both.
And there we have it! How about you? Ever bought a book based on the cover?
Till next time!
