Loving Me

There comes a point where you realize that despite the way the world looks at you, you just need to love yourself.

I remember my high school days being tough. A lot of what I loved seemed to be things that were criticized. If your a reader your a nerd, if you like black your depressed. Your either too fat or too skinny. If you have tattoos people who don’t have them tend to judge you because your arms are covered.

The fact of the matter is that the God that I serve, created me. I love to read and I love wearing black. In the almost 25 years I have lived, I am finally learning to love who I am. That the opinions of others shouldn’t affect my choices. I want to enjoy the life I have been blessed with. I may not have a college degree, and my “job” is me writing on this blog, yet I am happy. I was born to write, listen to my rock music and love Jesus. I was born to open up the pages of a book and fall into a new world every time. It’s not the life for everyone, but it’s mine. And I love it.
