I have mentioned in the past that I am not big on making resolutions for the new year. Simply put; I hate feeling like a failure when I don’t manage to succeed. I have come to the conclusion that I will always be: quirky, sassy and will always eat pizza. This year however I decided that I was going to do something for myself. I am going to make a reading list.
My plan is to read four books each month. I am going to make sure they are books I have not read before. I have held off buying books because I have had no place to put them. Till now. Ebooks are super nice but they are nothing compared to holding a book in your hands and the feeling of each page as you turn them. I am going to share with you books that I plan to read this month some I still need to go out and get some of them, so there will be no pictures and book number four is up in the air still.
•January Reading List•
1.|Light Read|
So I decided that with each list I want to add one contemporary light read and I picked: Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. I read the summary and it sounds really cute.
2.| Must Read|
Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon. I loved Outlander and I am excited to join Jamie and Claire again for another adventure.
3.|Anticapated Read|
Hands down: Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare. Before I Read The Mortal Instruments, I did a a little research and when I saw the connections between the two series…. I am super excited to become acquainted with the characters! If you have read City of Heavenly Fire, you already know which two characters are in both. 😉
Like I said, I don’t have a fourth book picked out yet. I will be doing reviews for each book as I have completed them.
If you are doing a monthly book list feel free to share!

Yes Brandy!! Monthly book lists don’t work for me as I freak out feeling too restricted! I have a 2016 reading list on Goodreads but have made sure to leave space for books I fancy at the time or I pick up on the way. I love that you’re doing this though!! More books, yay!! xx

I am hoping that the monthly list will work! The only problem I am having is I am still in “mourning” how the last book I read ended and I want to jump straight into the next series lol

Haha oh dear. I would say allow yourself to read what you want to read if you’re desperate! If I don’t want to read what I’ve decided to read and won’t let myself start something new I stop reading altogether!

I have bought 3 books this week! I really shouldn’t as I have no budget for it but one was a poetry book I’ve been after for ages and the others (which I would normally have bought for my kindle) were just too lovely to resist!).
